Terry Pattinson

Posted: June 18th, 2023

Former Sporting Life circulation rep TERRY PATTINSON died on April 14 [2023]. He was loyal and hard-working, and cared passionately about his newspaper.

Peter Robins, the Life’s former general manager, said: “Terry was the paper’s rep covering all the racecourses in southern England. This territory took in all the big festival courses such as Epsom, Ascot, Goodwood, Kempton and Sandown, as well as smaller courses, and publicity had to be put up at each meeting, and casual sellers recruited to sell the Life.

“Terry managed this most efficiently and remained cheerful even in the worst weather. He was well-liked by the sellers and racecourse officials. Happy days I reckon.”
