JOINING the Association of Mirror Pensioners could not be easier. Provided you are a member of the Mirror Group Newspapers Pension Scheme – either as a pensioner or deferred pensioner, a staff member still working, or a pensioner’s dependant – simply print out and fill in the form displayed via the link below, and send it to AMP treasurer Ray Evans.
To join, you will need to enclose a cheque for the initial joining fee of £10 – but that’s £10 for life membership, so there is no annual subscription. Some members still pay an additional voluntary amount, but we have closed our Contingency Fund (set up so the AMP can meet expensive legal and other bills, should the need arise), so those additional contributions are now put towards the day-to-day running costs of the Association.
Once you join, you will receive the members’ newsletter whenever published. But please, do be sure to tell Ray of any change of address. You can email Ray with membership queries: email@example.com
All members are invited to our annual meetings – held in London and Glasgow. It is a great chance to meet old colleagues, as well as getting updates from the trustees and the company.
