Former Sunday Mirror journalist STEVE BAILEY died on May 14 [2020] after a long illness.
Steve, 65, was a highly respected reporter on the Sunday Mirror. He left the paper in 1995 to work for the BBC before joining Dispatches, Channel 4’s award-winning investigative current affairs programme. Later, he became an executive television producer for Lion Films in Glasgow. RIP Steve.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Steve’s funeral will be limited to a small, private service on May 27 at 1pm at the Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium. At a later date to be confirmed, a memorial service will be held at Wellington Church, Glasgow, when it is hoped many of Steve’s former journalist colleagues, willing and able to travel, will attend and raise a glass or two to Steve afterwards.
