Former Sunday Mail showbusiness editor SCOTT ROBINSON died, aged 73, in December last year. Scott, who had battled cancer for more than 10 years, passed away in Lanark on December 12.
He began his career in the 1960s subbing at the Sunday Mail, and eventually became chief sub-editor. After short spells at both the Glasgow Evening Times and Daily Record, he returned to the Sunday Mail, where he became showbusiness editor. Scott interviewed a host of stars and celebrities over the years, many of whom became lifelong friends because of his naturally friendly, sociable nature and terrific sense of humour.
He is survived by his wife Jean, son Chris and three grandchildren.
