Ron Carpenter

MGN media expert RON CARPENTER died on April 19 [2021]. Ron was a long-term Mirror Group man, with a short break of a year when he briefly moved across to News Group.

As the Mirror’s media research manager his data and advice were invaluable to MGN’s ad departments. He was was held in high regard within the industry and the company.

Ron was also a long-standing AMP member, and was often vociferous at annual meetings when he would have feisty exchanges with the visiting Mirror top brass over some of their strategy and decisions. He’s pictured in full flow at one such meeting in London.
