Rob Cunningham began work as a graphic artist, and in 1991, joined the process department of the SDR&SM until early retirement in 2006. He is 68 and happily remarried (following the death of his first wife) with two sons and a stepson and daughter. He enjoys woodturning and photography. He said: “I was surprised at the general apathy to their pensions of the majority of members at my first Glasgow meeting. I’m aware that any change in company direction may materially affect our pensions in the future, and I hope to help, through a fuller understanding, with any problems we may face.”
