MALCOLM SPEED retired from the Daily Record in 2006 after more than 40 years’ pensionable service. He had been news editor of the Record, managing editor of the SDR&SM, and was a management appointed ‘A’ Direct or on the MGN Trustee Board.

Malcolm is 69, and married with a son. His hobby is reading. He said: “I’m sure everyone will remember just how near disaster we were on Guy Fawkes night, 20 years ago, and I can only emphasise the importance of the work of the AMP, and its association with the Trustee Board and the company.”
