Alan Burns

Posted: September 17th, 2015

ALAN BURNS joined the Sunday Mirror as a reporter before becoming the paper’s medical editor for 15 years. Alan became a Trustee within days of the discovery of the massive Maxwell fraud. He helped recover and restore lost millions to the pension funds. Alan continues to help maintain and safeguard pensions and investments and to look after pensioners’ benefits and rights. This includes keeping up to date and monitoring social and legal changes. This is especially important when so much is happening in the world of pensions which can affect your pension. Never shy about expressing his opinion, his close questioning of advisers and experts has stood him in good stead in his role as a Trustee. Alan says he hugely enjoys his voluntary Trustee role which means he is able to contribute more effectively.
