GEORGE EASTON joined the Daily Record & Sunday Mail in 1970 as Borders/North of England circulation representative. He moved to Glasgow in 1985 and after holding various senior management appointments retired in 2005 having completed 35 years service. George is married with two sons, two grandsons and two granddaughters. His hobbies are reading and travel. He said: “Having experienced the traumas of the Maxwell era, the losses at Equitable Life, and the uncertainties that these events caused I feel it only right that I make a personal contribution to the AMP in the hope that current and future pensioners are spared similar uncertainties.”
