Joining the Association of Mirror Pensioners could not be easier. Providing you are a member of an appropriate scheme – either as a pensioner or deferred pensioner, a staff member still working, or a pensioner’s dependant, simply print out and fill in the form(s) displayed and send them to AMP treasurer Roy White.
To join, you will need to enclose a cheque for the initial joining fee of £10 – but that’s £10 for life membership, so there is no annual subscription. We do ask you though, if you can afford it, to pay a voluntary monthly amount to our Pension Contingency Fund.
The fund was set up so the AMP will be in a position to meet expensive legal and other bills, should the need arise. You can donate either via a deduction at source from the pensions payroll, or by Standing Order through your bank. You decide how much you would like to donate and for how long.
Once you join, you will receive the members’ newsletter whenever published. But please, do be sure to tell Roy of any change of address.
All members are invited to our annual meetings – held in London and Glasgow. It is a great chance to meet old colleagues, as well as getting updates from the trustees and the company.
